Kings Compadre
“Kings Compadre” is the second gelding that we have by “King Hollywood” out of “Tyrone Morn Rose”. He is a big strong Chestnut gelding with a lot of chrome. He has a big, long hip, a nice sloping shoulder and a good length of rein. He is a quiet, well manner boy and enjoys being petted and handled. His full brother, “Royale Return” has made his mark in the competition arena, winning a Mitsubishi Lancer and $11 000 in prize money at The Big Show Roping in Tamworth, in 2015 Heeling . Luke and “Roy” have both performed really well over the last 2 years, making it to the ABCRA Rodeo Finals Heeling and winning and placing at most of the Major APRA Rodeos. Both “Roy” and “Compadre” are displaying their sire, “King’s”, great nature.
The depth of breeding in this colt makes him an outstanding prospect for – anything! The “Hollywoods” excel in all fields, the “Hill King Pistols” do too, the “Morn Decks” have shown and barrel raced outstandingly. The “Jet Booms”, the “Mr Freckles Boy’s”, the list just goes on. This colt is bred to Rein, Campdraft, Barrel Race, Rope, Cut – anything and has the chrome to ‘Wow’ in the Show Ring.
“Compadre” is broken in and going nicely. He is 15.1 and still has some filling out to do yet so will be a big boy. He is a free moving horse that is athletic and will excell at any field that requires speed, cow and atletic ability. However he can collect up nicely and move through his paces so would be at home in the show ring. He has had light mustering and pattern work, and is started on his barrel training. He is extremely cowy and is now tracking his cattle really well, both in the arena and out of the box. We have started swinging the rope off him and getting him used to the dummy, towing a tyre etc. His full brother, “Royale Return”, has made his mark in the Roping arena and has a big stop and cool nature, while his younger, full brother “Guns and Roses” has been broken in and is currently mustering and he is a exceptionally quiet horse that loves to be around people. “Guns” incidentally had his Rodeo debut in the Junior Barrel Race with his 7yr old rider!! Of course “Compadre’s” other siblings – “Hollywood Morn Jet”, “Hollywood Agent”, and “Jet Return” are all competing very successfully in the Rodeo arena, Barrel racing and roping. You could say “Its a family thing!” Its safe to say “Compadre” will follow on in their footsteps.
